The Edmonton Stingers will have the advantage of Calgary Surge missing Stefan Smith (currently in Orléans), which means they'll be without their starting point guard. The hosts will also be missing big man Simi Shittu, who led the CEBL for rebounds in 2023, and will need to replace his output if they want to replicate their title push in the 2024 season.
