Hellenic Basketball heads to Pardubice knowing that EuroBasket 2025 qualification is just one step away. A win over Czechia guarantees their spot in the final tournament, while even a loss could suffice if the Netherlands fail to beat Great Britain.

Greece (3-1) has looked strong throughout the qualifiers, boasting a squad packed with EuroLeague experience. Head coach Vassilis Spanoulis has options across the floor, with Dinos Mitoglou (Panathinaikos), Kostas Papanikolaou (Olympiacos), and Giorgos Papagiannis (AS Monaco) forming a well-balanced core. Their size, defensive discipline, and inside-out scoring threat make Greece a difficult matchup for any team.

Czechia (2-2), however, will look to throw a wrench in Greece’s plans. Led by veteran playmaker Tomáš Satoranský, the hosts rely on ball movement and perimeter shooting to break down physical defenses. Satoranský’s ability to dictate the pace and create for teammates while being a crafty scorer will be key if Czechia is to pull off an upset and strengthen their own path to qualification.

If Spanoulis’ side can impose their will on the boards and lock in defensively, qualification will be a formality. But with a passionate home crowd behind them, Satoranský and company won’t make it easy.
