Mongolia looking to snatch first win as China fly to Ulanbataar

Mongolia showed their grit against Japan before ultimately surrendering to Alex Kirk & co in a hard-fought first half.

Enkhbayasgalan Amarbayasgalan erupted for 26 points but his effort wasn't enough for the Blue Wolves to get a famous win in Japan. However, their progress will have been noted, and will serve them well as they host China at the UG Arena.

Mongolia didn't have fun when they traveled to Shaanxi as they lost by 31 and couldn't score more than 49 points. Runwang Du and Jinqiu Hu were both unstoppable, with the latter contributing effectively even against Guam on Thursday.

China is so good at taking care of the ball, so Mongolia will need to make the most to shut the Asian giants down and maximize their chances on the offensive end.

Will the Blue Wolves finally find their first joy in the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 qualifiers?
