Boomers travel to Bangkok as Jacob Chance's tenure begins

It's a new dawn for Australia basketball, aften Brian Goorjan's reign is over, and NBL's own Jacob Chance is given a chance (pun intended) to lead the boomers to yet another FIBA Asia Cup in 2025.

To get there in this window, he will need to lead a young Australia team with interesting prospects such as Rocco Zikarsky to consecutive wins in Bangkok and Goyang over Thailand and South Korea.  It will be no easy fit, but with the talent at the Boomers' disposal, a complete sweep of Group A is possible.

Thailand, on the other hand, have lost badly to South Korea after Moses Morgan's 24 points propelled them past Indonesia in their sole win so far. Will they be able to make a miracle happen to re-ignite their second-place hopes? The Thais have called up Martin Breunig from the BBL in this pursuit - will the big man make his debut in a FIBA window this time around?
