Mexico and Cote d'Ivoire compete for last SemiFinal spot in Puerto Rico
Côte d'Ivoire surprisingly gave group winner Lithuania an absolute run for their money. With fresh legs, Lès Elephants took the Green Death to the wire, leading by 6 with just under 3 minutes to go. Marius Grigonis's 5 consecutive points got Lithuania close enough before Sabonis (the MVP of the game) tied the ballgame at 90.
The Baltics then took control of the game and secured another win, guaranteeing them first place in the group and making Côte d'Ivoire's effort fall short.
With one more rest day of rest in the tank, Mexico will worry about the quality that Lès Elephants displayed, but will fell confident they can take the win and qualify for the Semi-Finals.
