Cameroon fight for survival as Brazil play for first place
The final Group B 2024 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in Riga puts Brazil in front of Cameroon.
With a 1-0 record, Brazil winning will see them through as the first team in Group B. Brazil would still qualify even if they lost by less than 14, hence the pressure is off for Aco Petrovic's team, and the coach might elect to rest some of his key players, especially Yago Santos who's still rusty after a season-ending injury.
Cameroon only marginally lost to Montenegro, giving them a hard time, with three players in their starting lineup producing double figures against the Crna Gora.
They even led for 10 minutes before Montenegro pulled away in the 3rd quarter, and a late comeback was too little, too late for the Indomitable Lions.
It was still a solid display for the African side, who will have a mountain to climb tomorrow as they face Brazil.
