Sacramento King superstar Domantas Sabonis ruled the boards with 11 boards and 12 points in just 9 shots. Lithuania seemed to just have used first gear against Mexico, and look likely to repeat themselves against Cote d’Ivoire.
The Africans gave a good account of themselves at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, and Les Éléphants fans were hopeful when Mo Bamba’s name was included in the list for the OQTs, but the new Clippers signing did not make it in the final roster.
It will be a tall order for Cote d’Ivoire to challenge Lithuania, but anything can happen in basketball.
