Germany host Sweden after loss on the road
Alex Mumbru didn't dream for his reign at the helm of Die Mannschaft started with a road loss to Sweden in Hovet.
Despite David Kramer's monster "lights-out" night, with the Shooting Guard writing his name as the second highest-ever scorer for Germany with 43 points on 14/19 from the field, the Swedes had the upper hand, led by Ludwig Hakanson and Malwin Pantzar's combined 36.
Viktor Gaddefors will be annoyed for missing the two last free throws, as now Germany only needs a one-point win to get back their tiebreaker advantage as they try to get out of last-place in Group D, where they sit at 1-2 with Bulgaria as joint-bottom.
However, Die Mannschaft will need more than Kramer in Heidelberg to secure a win that will make Group D terribly interesting, and securing that will mean the future will be in Alex Mumbru's players' hands.
