  • The top 10 teams in the Americas will be looking to be crowned the champions of the Americas when they take the court on the 1st July 2023.
  • 10 teams will be split into two groups before the top 4 teams in each group will qualify for the Knockout phase.
  • The FIBA Women’s AmeriCup is the premier women’s national team basketball competition on the continent
  • FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2023 will double up as a qualifying tournament for the FIBA 2024 Olympic Qualifying event ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
  • USA Basketball will be looking to secure their 3rd title in row having won the two previous editions in Puerto Rico, adding NCAA star Angel Reece to their provisional roster for the tournament.
  • 2021 silver medalists Puerto Rico will be looking to push them all the way as they continue to rise through the global rankings with impressive performances at the recent Olympic Games and World Cup in addition to their performances in the AmeriCup.
  • Mexico will be hoping to put on a show for the home crowd, whilst Canada, the 2nd best ranked team on the continent in the latest FIBA rankings and 5th overall, will be hoping for a strong start when they tip-off in their opening game against the hosts on the 2nd July.
  • Brazil, who currently hold the record number of Women's AmeriCup championships with five, will also likely be in the mix and looking for their 6th title and first since 2011 success.
